Debbie Bacigalupi Announces Run for Congress in California's
14th Congressional District

SAN MATEO, CA--Citing her concern that the nation is heading into disaster under the current Congressional agenda, Debbie Bacigalupi today formally announced her candidacy for Congress as Representative for California's 14th Congressional District. Bacigalupi announced her decision to run at a gathering at her parents' ranch in Siskiyou County.

"I'm 6th generation Californian, the proud daughter of a California farming and ranching family. I am not a seasoned politician. I am a concerned citizen who has decided that it's time to stop waiting for others to fix the very serious problems I see around me. It's time for me to step up.

Bacigalupi has become a familiar speaker to groups in Siskiyou County, Half Moon Bay, East Bay San Francisco, Santa Cruz, San Diego, Benicia, Truckee, and Sacramento. She addresses wide-ranging topics including private-property rights, the safety of the national food supply, overregulation, and water concerns such as the preservation and safety of dams.

"My priorities are to preserve and safeguard private property rights, to both tangible and intellectual property; to protect our local farmers; to advocate for chemical-free food, air, and water; to terminate overarching regulations; and to repair an historically crippled educational system. As your Representative I promise to listen, to be vibrant and honorable, and to be a critical thinker grounded in evidence-based management principles. I bring to the table a fresh, powerful, and influential voice for the people."

About Debbie Bacigalupi

Bacigalupi identifies herself as "driven and entrepreneurial," traits she learned from her family. She graduated summa cum laude with a BS degree in business and a Master's degree from Notre Dame de Namur. She is a biotech consultant, a certified meeting professional, a certified sommelier, and is the inspiration for a movement to defend and protect rural California. Currently she is co-producing a documentary about the attack on farmers and ranchers via egregious regulations, as well as whistleblower stories behind the removal of vital dams across the United States.
